Multiplayer modlarıyla komple bir oyun olan Transformers: War for Cybertron oyunculara öykü görevlerini istedikleri zaman girip çıkabilecekleri şekilde arkadaşlarıyla birlikte oynama olanağı tanıyor. Oyuncular ayrıca dört farklı karakter sınıfından ve çok sayıda silah, yetenek ve özellik arasından seçim yaparak yarattıkları kendi TRANSFORMERS karakterlerini rekabetçi multiplayer modlarına taşıyarak rakip oyuncularla kozlarını paylaşabiliyor.
