The publishing house in Harbin started a weekly newspaper and helped publish books for various schools. Until 1930, the center for Turks in Far East was Harbin, then it moved to Japan. Turks lived in Yokohama, Tokyo, Nagoya and Kobe cities. First most were single men doing trade. Then they started to bring their families, or get married and settled close to other muslim families. Some Turks did business for muslim community, like butchers and groceries. But most did textile business, selling clothes all over Japan, alone or with their wives.
